Recordings of the sessions will be available for viewing for 2 weeks following each event for participants to reference. The recordings will also be available to VPN+ members for free after the 2 weeks. Please be advised that we can not issue CE certificates for only viewing the session recordings. Anyone who registers for a VetCE Virtual event but is unable to attend the live sessions will get free access to the VetCE OnDemand courses we create from the recordings on VetMedTeam so you can still get CE credits!

He and his team at Florida Veterinary Advisors help associates, practice owners, and their teams find out the next step to take within their finances. Tom is a podcast host on the Smarter Vet Financial Podcast, national speaker, publication author, VBMA speaker, financial advisor, and Certified Exit Planner. Tom wants to help nourish the veterinary community, so they have less stress and increase their confidence around financial decision making. He is married with a young daughter and a little Maltipoo, Theodore.

Mary E. Mongioi has been a Partner at Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP since 2015.
Ms. Mongioi concentrates her practice in veterinary corporate and transactional matters and chairs the firm’s Veterinary practice group. She guides her clients throughout the life cycle of their practice – from initial formation and structure through complex acquisitions and financings. Ms. Mongioi also provides strategic counsel to both large corporate and individual veterinary businesses on all aspects of corporate law, including practice acquisitions and sales, buy-ins and other partnership matters, leases and other real estate transactions, as well as drafting and negotiating contracts associated with such matters. She assists her clients with risk management, and together with other members of the Veterinary practice group, offers counsel with respect to the drafting and negotiation of executive employment agreements, non-compete agreements, severance agreements, separation counseling and compliance with wage and hour, leaves and discrimination laws.
Ms. Mongioi is the Chair of VetPartners’ 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting. VetPartners is a non-profit association of veterinary business specialists with expertise in a broad spectrum of business disciplines with a focus on helping veterinary practices maximize their potential.
Ms. Mongioi is included in Crain’s New York Business’ 2022 Notable Women in Law list of honorees. The 119 honorees were chosen not only for their skills and accomplishments in the courtroom, but for their leadership outside of it. In addition to their tireless dedication to their clients, the Notable Women in Law honorees were selected for their outstanding professional achievements and pro bono work or involvement in industry and community organizations.
Ms. Mongioi also offers years of experience in real estate and banking transactions, as well as trusts & estates and civil litigation, which help her bring a unique perspective when engaging with a corporate client in negotiating contracts or assisting business succession planning and exit strategies.
Ms. Mongioi was an adjunct professor of law at Touro College, where she taught Business Law and Real Estate. She has authored various articles for the New York Law Journal on varying estate litigation issues, including “Obligation to Account”, “Interplay of Family, Inheritance and Trust Principles”, “The Estate Tax Apportionment Clause, Friend or Foe?”, “John D.: Appointing Monitor Not in Keeping With Legislative Intent of Article 81” and “To the Holder of Antiquity Go the Spoils – Or Do They?”

A 2002 graduate of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Sarah Wooten is a well known international speaker in the veterinary and animal health spaces. She has 16 years clinical experience in private practice, and over 10 years experience in public speaking, media work, and writing for a large number of online and print animal health publications, including but not limited to chewy.com, petMD, Vetstreet, Hill’s Pet Nutrition Education Blog, Great Pet Care, Life’s Abundance Educational blog, DVM360 print and online publications, Healthy Pet Magazine, and the Bark. She is also passionate about helping pet parents learn how to care better for their fur friends, and has written thousands of web articles and filmed hundreds of videos about pet care and the human-animal bond. She has appeared on radio, podcasts, and multiple television news broadcasts across the country in her role as a veterinary expert, and has been featured in several magazines in the same role. Dr. Wooten was a member of the Blue Buffalo Veterinary Advisory Board for 3 years, and is on the FearFreeTM Advisory board and the Prized PalsTM Advisory board. Dr. Wooten is also a certified veterinary journalist, a member in good standing of the AVMA. She is also co-creator of the card game ‘Vets Against Insanity’ and co-owns Humans Against Insanity, LLC, a publishing house for all things educational and funny. In her spare time, she can be found skiing, fly fishing, golfing, and paddle boarding.
